Teleparty is available as both a browser extension and a mobile app.

On laptop and desktop computers, you can download Teleparty as a browser extension for the Google Chrome , Microsoft Edge , and Opera Browsers

On your Android device, you can download Teleparty from the Google Play Store

Coming soon (but not currently available): iOS smartphones or tablets, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and other devices.

Yes, each participant needs access to an account for the streaming service being used to watch the show or movie in the Teleparty (i.e., Hulu, HBO Max, Disney+, Netflix, Youtube, Prime Video, ESPN+, Crunchyroll, & Paramount+)

It is possible to use a shared account to join a party, but the account needs to be on a standard or premium membership plan which allows multiple viewers to watch the streaming service at the same time.

All participants must also install the Teleparty extension or use the Teleparty App.

Up to 1000+ friends can partcipate in the same Teleparty.

Teleparty is available in every country. However, each streaming service supported by Teleparty may not be available in every country

If you are creating a Teleparty with participants from multiple countries, you should double-check that the show you want to watch together is available to everyone on the same streaming service. You can use this tool to see what shows are available in each country. As a general tip you should consider watching Netflix originals, which are available in all countries.

Installation Guide

Click on the respective link to install Teleparty on the Chrome Store , Microsoft Edge Store , or an Android Device

Teleparty is NOT currently available on Firefox, Internet Explorer, and other web browsers.

Teleparty is NOT currently available for iOS smartphones/tablets, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and other devices.

If you can see a red "TP" button on the top right corner of your chrome browser, you have successfully installed Teleparty.

Note: if you don't see the "TP" button, click this icon on the top right of your browser to view the hidden browser extensions. If you still can't find the "TP" button, try uninstalling and reinstalling the extension.

To uninstall, right click on the red "TP" button on the top right corner of your chrome browser & click remove.

Reinstall Teleparty from the Chrome Store or Microsoft Edge Store

Try starting or joining a party again (by clicking the Tp icon) and you should be able to use Teleparty.

Hosting a Teleparty

Login into your account on a supported streaming service and ensure you are on your main account profile. Select a show and make sure it is playing. Your URL should look like “” Then click on the red TP button to host your TP Teleparty chat room.

You can share the party link you get with friends to invite them to your party.

Make sure you are logged into a supported streaming service, are on your main account profile, and have a show currently playing. Your URL should look like “” When the app detects a video on your webpage, it will turn red, and you can click on it to turn the video into a Teleparty. If it is still not working, re-install Teleparty and try again.

Up to 1000 friends can participate in the same Teleparty. Everyone that joins the party needs access to a streaming service account with our supported services and needs to install the Teleparty Chrome Extension or use the Android mobile app.

Copy and share links by clicking on the chain icon . This icon is located on the top right area of your chat interface.

Joining a Teleparty

Click on the shared link, which redirects you to the selected show. Then click the red TP button located on the top right area on your chrome/edge browser to connect to the party chatroom automatically.

Yes, you need access to an associated streaming service (Hulu, HBO Max, Disney+, Netflix, Youtube, Prime Video, ESPN+, Crunchyroll, & Paramount+) account to join a Teleparty.

Chat Settings

Choose your user icon from the top right corner of the chatroom interface. The user icon is in a circular shape that automatically generates an initial icon for you.

Change your nickname by selecting the "User Icon". This'll prompt you to the setting interface where you may change and edit your nickname.

Copy and share links by clicking on the chain icon . This icon is located on the top right area of your chat interface.
You can also invite friends by clicking on the TP button (once in a party and the video is playing) and then click the copy button next to the invite link.

Hide or show the chat room by clicking on the Tp button again. The interface will now allow you to show or hide the chat room.

No, at this time, Teleparty only supports text-based chat. To be the first to access features such as this, please sign up for Teleparty Premium.

Privacy & Security

Teleparty is safe and used by over 10,000,000 users. We do not store your streaming service account details or password.

Teleparty Premium

The free version of Teleparty allows users to start parties on the free, supported services (such as Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, Amazon, Youtube, and HBO Max) and provides basic video synchronization and text chat. Teleparty Premium members can host premium watch parties on additional streaming services (such as Crunchyroll, Paramount+, and ESPN+), show off with premium badges, and customize their chat experience. Premium users also directly support Teleparty's development and help pay to launch new features and bring Teleparty to new channels and devices. Teleparty Premium is available for $6.59 a month for our monthly plan or $3.99 per month billed annually ($47.88) on our annual plan.

Yes! We have a 7-day free trial for those who purchase an annual plan, but we do not offer a free trial for those who purchase a monthly plan.

Yes, you can cancel your Teleparty Premium subscription at any time. If you are having trouble canceling your subscription, you can contact Teleparty's customer support team at To cancel your subscription, follow these steps:
1.) Click on the TP button in the top right of the browser
2.) Sign in to your account.
3.) Click the gear icon and “manage subscription”.
4.) Click the "Billing" tab.
5.) Click the "Cancel Subscription" button.
6.) Confirm that you want to cancel your subscription.
Once your subscription is canceled, you will continue to enjoy Teleparty Premium until the end of your current billing cycle (end of the month period for monthly plans, end of the year period for annual plans), and you will no longer be charged for Teleparty Premium. Your account will revert to the free version of Teleparty at the start of the next billing cycle, where you can continue to host free watch parties and enjoy all of the other free features. Please note that you will not be refunded for any unused time remaining on your subscription.

Teleparty Premium allows you to host unlimited watch parties on ALL of our supported streaming services, including those not included in the free version (e.g., Crunchyroll, Paramount+, ESPN+, etc.)

Note: A Google account is required. Follow these steps to upgrade:

1.) Install the Teleparty browser extension from the Chrome Web Store (
2.) Open the extension by clicking on the TP icon in the top right of your browser.
3.) Click the "Sign In with Google" button.
4.) You will be prompted to log in if you are not already logged into your Google account.
5.) Once logged in, click the "Upgrade" button to access the Teleparty Premium sign-up page.
6.) Enter your payment information and complete the upgrade process.
7.) Once the payment is processed, your account will be upgraded, and you can start using Teleparty Premium.

After upgrading to premium, you can host a premium party like you have hosted other parties on the free version. Go to the premium service of your choice (Paramount+, Crunchyroll, and ESPN+), choose a video, and click the TP button to start the party. You can invite your friends by clicking the link icon and sending them the link. They can join this party without having the premium plan, using the free version of Teleparty.

The watch party on a premium streaming service (Paramount+, Crunchyroll, ESPN+, etc.) needs to be started by someone with a Teleparty Premium account. They will then send you the link, and you will join via that. You do not need the premium plan to join their party; you can join premium parties using the free version of Teleparty.

Our Android app is in beta and does not support all of our browser extension features. All premium features we have implemented are marked as early-access features and are currently available for free on Android.

Teleparty Mobile

Teleparty Mobile’s beta version is available only on Android devices via the Google Play Store

Teleparty Mobile is currently in open beta and does not support all the features that the browser extension does. The app currently supports Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, & HBO Max. It also supports our premium service Crunchyroll free for everyone but only for a limited time.

Hosting a party on mobile is quite simple as you are already in a party once logged into a service. Go to the party tab; click the invite button in the bottom left corner. You can send the invite link to your friends however you like.

To join a party on mobile, you need to have the Teleparty app installed and logged into the streaming service you are using for the party via our app. Your friend now needs to send you the party link. Once you receive the invite, click on it, and you should be redirected to the party.

Teleparty is currently in closed beta on iOS. When we are in open beta, we will update this FAQ and let everyone know how they can download the app.
